Doodle, Doodle, Craft!
I love doodling random things during my free time. Whether it's capturing my D&D characters, my roommate's cat Sammie, a humorous scene from a random day, or storyboarding something cool I want to remember in real life. Communicating with friends and colleagues through doodles is my idea of fun. Their smiles and giggles are the ultimate reward I aim for. 😊✏️
I also find joy in crafting when I have really have some time to spare. Whether it's pottery, woodworking, or soft goods fabrication, the creative process allows me to meditate and savor the moment. Because of my love for craft (no pun intended), I also find joy in collecting small, creatively designed trinkets, and I plan on having a shelf dedicated for them in the future.
In the photo is an orange bomber jacket I made by hand for a soft fabrication class I took this semester. It is the orange bomber jacket that Kim Kitsuragi wears in Disco Elysium.

Video Game "Tester" is Me!
I wasn't a gamer until high school when I got introduced to This War of Mine↗ and Beholder↗, from there I realized that games can be as beautiful as art pieces. It is about the experience it delivers to the player that asks the player to not only enjoy the time spent but also to think deeper and reflect. From there I started to immerse myself into various genres of video games to explore a different world.
Now as a UX designer, I've developed this quirky habit of having silent conversations with myself while playing. My brain would unintentionally shift into critique mode, evaluating the user experience like a game tester. "This interaction here is immersive and so fascinating", "This instruction is important that needs more clarity and a rehearsal before the player actually starts playing." After these gaming adventures, I find myself learning and effortlessly brainstorming the best interactions for different user actions on interfaces.
And… as a 🤓, here is a list of video games (50+)↗ that I've invested a considerable amount of time in.
Never say No to Dungeons & Dragons!
I find joy in well-crafted stories. Whether it's detective novels with intricately designed crime scenes and brilliant detective reasoning or movies and games with mature world-building and character development, I'm consistently captivated by the creativity of these authors. This fascination is precisely why I was immediately drawn to D&D when first introduced to it. It's not just about the plot of these stories; it's the real-time interaction between player characters (PCs) and the freedom for everyone to embody a different persona in the game. The liberty that is granted to the players in shaping the story in whatever ways they want is truly fascinating to me.
And, of course, I never shy away from sketching character portraits and immortalizing the hilarious moments in the campaign 😉.
